What is so epic about Doctor Who, well the story lines always are epic and the characters we follow every week is epic but I think the most epic thing about Doctor Who is it longevity.  I mean come on it is going to be celebrating 50 years of gracing our television screens in 2013.
From a humble start in the early 1960s we viewers have followed the Doctor and his companions as they have traveled through time and space.  We have cheered for them, cried with them, laughed with them, we have welcomed them into our hearts and souls for almost 50 years and that is truely epic.



The one on the left is the very first episode the one on the right is a scene from Big Bang.  Doctor who has come a long way baby.
