I aint gonna kid you, I would have a piercing any day than a tattoo, they are very painful and dont let anyone kid you otherwise, a bunch of needles is moving at 1250 miles per hour in and out of your skin, as a person drags the vibrating needle across that skin... People who say it didnt bother them are liars or have no nerve endings in their skin hehe. But I found it a bit addictive and I have a very addictive personality.
