30 Day Nu-Who Meme Day 15: Fave Rose Moment

Aren't you guys so lucky you get a second one for today, then I will be back on scedule again.  My fave Rose moment,  this was difficult as well because of course after two seasons there are alot of scenes to pick from.  So I have to go for the generalization again,  the scene that came to mind were the ones when Rose shows compassion for the people around her especially during the first season  I found this especially true in the episode "Dalek" she showed a lot of compassion in it.  I think it helped balance out the Doctor's lack of compassion at times.  So I think my favorite Rose Moments are the ones that show her compassion for others.

Yes! I loved her compassion. Sometimes she was too human if that makes sense. Like with the Dalek, when Nine wanted to kill him and she wouldn't let him. What was wonderful was, I think that moment was for Nine and not to save the Dalek. It was so he wouldn't become a butcher by exterminating the last of the race as he knew it to be, she knew it would haunt him I think.

I liked her better in season 1 then season 2. I don't really know why but out of all the seasons that was my least favorite

I think there was a very odd thing that happened between one and two... maybe it was because it was New Who... and we were all so excited about it, and they wanted to get as many storylines in and had to do the Bad Wolf stuff on top of it... but I agree... season two didn't work so well. I think, for me, it's that Rose, who really was a great character, became imbued with these characteristics that were suddenly unlikely... the trajectory wasn't there... she was a young girl who was pretty brave, but she suddenly had to be clever and aware in a way that she just wasn't likely to be (and in fact wasn't part of what was appealing about her in the first place or how she was framed).

I do agree that the thing for me was Rose's combination of naivety (which was a completely appropriate thing) and her compassion.

Yeah it is wierd I can remember alot about season 1, 3, 4, 5 but I don't remember much about the second one. Also I will go back and watch any of the other seasons multiple times but I only watched the 2nd season once maybe twice.
