30 Days Nu-Who Meme Day 17: Fave Donna Moment

Oh this one is very hard, if I had to choose a favorite moments I would say it would have to be all of season 4.  I love Donna Noble as a character, like many others on my flist.  She was a great partner for the Doctor and her storyline was wonderful but sad.  To choose just one moment would be a travesty to Donna and her time with the Doctor.  So I perused youtube and found a video that shows her best moments and I have to agree with the creator of the vid.  So I guess the best answer would be every moment thatf Donna Noble graced our TV screens.

I really wouldn't know how to do such a thing. But I do have a lot of stories that I have written that have my own personal favorite moments.

Hi, guys, just found this. I think it's a great idea, Teaspoon lets an author list their favourite authors, which is how I found a lot of lj writers. Not only would this do the same, but it would say a lot (and very personal) about you as reader in addition to your own writing.

I agree it is scary difficult to pin point one moment. But I do have two, my very favourite two moments of Donna's were these...

The first was in The Runaway Bride.

Donna: What is this place?

The Doctor: The TARDIS

Donna: That's not even a word! You're just saying things!!



LOL!



And the second is:

The Doctor: The last time, with Martha, it got complicated. And that was all my fault. I just want a mate.

Donna Noble: You just want to mate?

The Doctor: I just want *a* mate!

Donna Noble: You're not matin' with me Sunshine!

The Doctor: A mate! I want *a* mate!

Donna Noble: Well, just as well, because I'm not having any of that nonsense! I mean, you're just a long streak of nothing, y'know, alien nothing!


LOL Oh Donna, why didn't RTD keep you on as you wanted? *sigh*

Catherine Tate was prepared to stay on you know. RTD was too obsessed with getting rid of Companions IMHO.

I personally think it would have been much better, for the viewers especially, for Donna to have stayed with him through the Specials and then when he regenerated, perhaps on the first ep of season 5, she, not been able to handle the change of body, face, personality and TARDIS, for her to have said she wanted to go home. It would have kept consistency for the viewers and new Who fans too. It was a huge thing to change everything as they did and I know it lost a lot of fans.

However, as always, the Who just got a load of new fans to make up the numbers YAY! :D

And as much as I hate what happened to Donna at least Moffat can't get his hands on her.

Your quite welcome and I also enjoyed RTD work but I will admit I am really enjoying SM work as well.

But, the story of Donna will always be close to my heart.
