Where is Your TARDIS Monday

So ,[info]irrealia ,[info]ahedonia ,[info]who_in_whoville , and [info]zazie11  and I are swapping pictures of the areas that we live. Of course it is not limited to just where we live but also the surrounding areas that we reside in. So we are swapping pictures every Monday and it is very cool to see.

The TARDIS this week landed in Chelsea, Michigan, more specifically at "The Purple Rose Theater Company" to the viewing of the play, "Consider the Oyster".  Here is a bit of history about the theater it started in 1991 by Jeff Daniels (Yep folks the actor) to showcase Michigan actors, producers, and writers.

The Play that I say was written by my professor of my American Culture class and I think he is good at both of his jobs.  He must be cause I got a B in the class that gave me such hell the last 8 weeks of my life and I really liked the play.

The premise of the play I saw was that a man shattered his leg bone and the doctors helped repair it by using oyster shells to help graft the bone back together.  Now here is the interesting thought all oysters turn to females and since they used the oyster shells to fix the man's leg he turns into a female.

Of course it is a comedy and I laughed but it also had some very emotional parts as well.  Overall it was a fantastic trip to a nice small town in MIchigan that I enjoyed immensely.

This is one of the sculptures of Chelsea.  There was a festival taking place the night I went to the show.

This is the church that is right across the street from the theater.  This pic just doesn't do it justice.

I would like to see that play as it sounds hilarious! I live about 10 minutes from Graceland. I thought about going to take a picture of the TARDIS in front of it for that Contest the BBC was running but never got there. That church is absolutely beautiful!

Oh I have not been to Graceland in so long I loved that estate it is so beautiful and the rooms are so creative.

It is a shame you didn't get there before the contest was over that would have been a winner pic

God I love all the old 19th century churches in that part of MI. I could never get a good picture of any of them either!

You're making me a bit homesick this week!

I know it is so hard to get a good pic of those churches it is almost like you have to have the perfect lighting and even if you do it is difficult to catch on film.

Sorry about the homesickness (HUGS)
