Authors Note 2: For you that are not familiar with baby items GUND is a brand name of stuffed animals and other items for babies.

Donna walked into SG department store, taking a moment she located the toy section and moved purposefully toward the area. Looking around, she was unsuccessful in finding a GUND snuggle baby bear for Narise’s newborn.
Needing some help she approached a man that was playing with a remote control airplane, tapping him on the shoulder she requested, “Excuse me sir but I was hoping that you can help me.”
The man turned around, impressively on the balls of his feet, “Hello I am the Doctor, I am here…” his voice stammered as he saw whom he was addressing.
“The Doctor, what type of name is that?” Donna inquired looking the man over, and noting how handsome he looked in his braces and bow tie.
Taking a deep breath the Doctor responded professionally, “It is just a title, that I am called around here.”
“I imagine many people follow up that title by asking Doctor Who.”
“Yes, many do, so how can I help you Mrs.?” He asked trying desperately, to keep in check his jubilation and fear.
“It is Ms. Donna Noble, I am divorced, the man I married was not as good as a husband as one might expect. He was so focused in his work that he forgot that he had a wife at home. Then when I found out that he had a mistress, well he found himself out the door very quickly.” Donna shook her head, “But why am I telling you all this?”
“I don’t know, but people tell me that I have that kind of face.” Clapping his hands together, the Doctor picked up a stuffed rabbit, and waved it in Donna’s face, “So do you need a bouncing snuggly rabbit or something else?”
“Actually Doctor, I am looking for a GUND snuggle baby bear.”
The Doctor crooked his finger, “Follow me, lovely lady, I know exactly where to find it.”
Walking in his wake Donna beamed, it had been a long time since someone had called her, lovely and how the man in front of her said it, made her heart do a little leap in her chest. Not paying attention to where she was going she bumped into the Doctor’s back when he stopped suddenly.
“Here we go Ms. Noble our collection of GUND items for babies.”
He turned around to leave when Donna stopped him, “Doctor, would you like to join me for some tea after your shift is over. I am sure I can have it prepared just the way you like it.”
“But you do not know how I like my tea, Ms. Noble.” He responded hoping to get away so that he doesn’t cause any harm to his previous companion.
Donna smiled secretively, “Well, you use to like it with two sugars, but I am not so sure now. I guess when you join me I will find out.”
Stunned he responded suspiciously, “Maybe you will, Donna Noble.”
Donna grabbed her item and called back, “I will be at the café, two blocks down, on the right at 1830. I hope to see you there.”
Turning away without answering, the Doctor, went back to his remote control airplane, and cursed the universe for wanting a laugh, all he needed now was for Amy and Rory to show up then the universe’s joke would be complete. Damn he should have just left and faced his destiny without hesitation.
