Rose quickly hurried down the stairs in the hopes to avoid a confrontation between John and the Doctor, “Listen, I am sorry but it has been so long since I have seen him…”
John interrupted, “Rose, you are my best friend and I am happy for you, but could you at least grope each other in the bedroom instead on the landing. Mickey is going to be coming over soon and I don’t want my boyfriend to get offended seeing his old girlfriend getting it on with the Doctor.”
Confused Rose replied, “Your boyfriend?”
“Come on Rose you know that we have been a couple for a few months now. I know you have been busy, but I don’t think you have been so busy to forget about me and Mickey.”
She smiled at him hiding her confusion, “No, I am sorry I have not forgotten.”
“Good.” John replied as he walked toward the Doctor that had followed Rose down the stairs, “I am not sure how you got here or how you reverted to our previous incarnation; but if you hurt Rose again I will make your life a living hell. Understand.”
“Yes, I understand John.” The Doctor replied reaching for Rose’s hand in which she gladly grabbed.
“Now if you two will excuse me I have a date to prepare for.” John stated as he gallivanted up the stairs.
Looking at each other Rose and the Doctor shared confused looks when Jackie pushed herself between the two of them, “Listen, Doctor.” Jackie began as she stabbed the Doctor with her index finger, “I am also not sure how you came here either, but you are here and I expect you to never to leave my Rose hanging again and you will join us for dinner.”
Turning toward her daughter, Jackie embraced her, “When you figure out what happened make sure you tell me and your father. We don’t want Torchwood to lock him in the slammer now that you two are together again.”
“Yes mum.” Rose replied as she returned the hug given to her.
“Now I must be off, I am sure Toby is wondering where his mum is.” Jackie stated as she moved to the back side of the house.
Once she was out of sight Rose sat on one of the chaise lounges and brought her hands up to her head. Sitting next to her the Doctor asked, “So I am guessing things have changed since I have gotten here.”
Shaking her head affirming his comment she spoke, “Yes, you could say that. Before your arrival John and I were lovers and Mickey was not in this universe any longer.”
Wrapping his arm around her he brought her close to him and kissed her forehead, “I think you better start from the beginning Rose.”
“Yes I think I should, but not here let us go out to the garden and talk.”
Standing up he grabbed her hand and lifted her to her feet. Guiding her to the front door he opened it and led her into the warm outside air. Looking to his left he saw the garden and moved them in that direction.
As they walked the gravel path, Rose explained to him all that had taken place after his regeneration, leaving nothing out. When she got to the part where his future self and her became lovers he tried desperately not to cringe. He wrapped his arms around her when she described how she and John were left on the beach, after saving the universe. He consoled her as she relived the pain and betrayal that his future self, caused with his actions.
“At first, John and I had a difficult time, but after a while we got over it and moved on.” Rose stated as she finished her long narration.
Guiding her to one of the garden seats, he pushed some of her long hair away from her face, “I think that time has been re-written somehow. I need to talk to John after supper and find out what he remembers. “
“Do you think he has a different memory of what happened?”
“I don’t know Rose but we need to find out. You should also talk to your mum and see what she remembers.”
“I will also talk to my dad and see if there is any documentation at Torchwood, of something like this happening before.”
“Good thinking Rose, did I ever tell you how fantastic you are?”
Moving closer to him Rose brought her face close to his, “I seem to remember you saying that, but right now I want you to show me how fantastic I am.”
“I think I can do that, but the garden is not the best place to show you. We might be seen.”
Smiling and sticking her tongue between her teeth, she grabbed him and led him to a secluded area of the garden.
Moving under a huge weeping willow she leaned against the trunk of the tree, “The branches of the tree will block anyone from seeing.” Holding her hand out she beckoned with her index finger as she continued, “This is as good as a place as any for you to show me how fantastic you think I am.”
Moving till he was standing in front of her, he placed his hands against the tree trapping her with his body and arms. Bending down he kissed her softly at first then as her lips parted under his, he deepened the kiss bringing their desire back to the surface. As his tongue explored her mouth, sweetened by the tea she had earlier in the day; he felt her hands slither their way under his blazer coat caressing the muscles hidden there.
Rose continued her exploration of his body and when she reached his bum she squeezed and brought him closer to her core. The Doctor moaned, as she position him, between her legs and felt her gyrated against his trousers.
Bringing his lips to her neck he nibbled his way to her ear whispering endearments with his kisses. He kissed her closed eyes, her small nose, and finally brought his lips back to hers stroking them with the tip of his tongue, pleading them to open once again. He didn’t have to wait very long; Rose was willing to allow him entrance. Lacing his hands through her hair, he pulled her closer bruising her lips with his.
Pulling away giving her soft kisses, he whispered, “Oh Rose I wanted you for so long, to feel your body and your lips against mine. “
“Why didn’t you do it before?” Rose questioned.
Her question tempered his passion. Stepping away from her warmth he sighed as he moved and sat on a root protruding from the ground.
“I couldn’t it wasn’t the right time.”
Sitting next to him Rose grabbed his hand, “Doctor, who are you to decide if it was the right time.”
Shifting so he faced her, he explained, “Rose when we met you were so young and in a relationship with Mickey. Even though he was an idiot, I knew he cared about you deeply. Even when things stopped between you two, you still were exploring your sexuality with Adam, Jack and others we came in contact with. You were still growing and I didn’t want to hinder your experiences.”
“I only went for the others because you showed no sign, you wanted to take our relationship further.” Rose countered.
“I know I was a fool and a coward.”
Rose smiled at him, “Yes, you were a fool, but I would never call you a coward.”
Chuckling he captured her lips in a brief kiss, “I don’t think you are neither a fool nor a coward, Rose Tyler. You are amazing. I was going to show you how amazing you are in Barcelona, but we ran out of time.”
“Yes, we ran out of time. But you are here now so I guess more time has been given to us.”
“I agree but at what cost. We need to find out what happened.”
Jackie’s voice called out from the house, “It is time for supper so stop snogging under the willow tree and come inside.”
Shaking his head the Doctor stated, “The dragon from the Powell Estates is calling.”
“That is my mother, Doctor, so you better be nice.”
“For you I will do my best.”
Standing up the Doctor reached for Rose and pulled her close to his body. He kissed her zealously before leading her back to the house, her hand safely nestled in his.

I like the new dynamics between characters that you are creating in your AU. It makes for an interesting series.
